Project With Potential
Allie is 6 years old and stands 15.2hh, making her the perfect size for a kid moving up from a pony to a horse. She can WTC and trot around a simple low course. She’s super cute, and keeps her brain without needing to be ridden every single day. We are told that she was trail ridden and started on a barrel pattern when she was three, but we’re an english barn and the trails have been too icy to take her out since she’s been here so we can’t confirm her experience with either one. She can live inside or out and is an average keeper getting low starch pellets and ration balancer.
However: She needs some time off because her previous home worked her intensely on feet so badly neglected that there was significant distortion. Xrays of her feet look surprisingly good now and she miraculously avoided a breakdown, but working with her we realized that she has a lot of body soreness and basically repetitive stress muscle strains from intense work on long distorted feet. Speaking with our vet, we decided that the best thing for her would be to take a few months just chilling out in a field letting her body decompress before she resumes work, so in order to open up her spot for other projects we are regretfully selling her as a rehab project instead of the three ring move up horse for a kid that we hoped to sell her as.
This is a young horse with the potential to have a lot of fun with a kid or adult ammy for many years once she’s happy in her body. We would love to get low mid fours for her because we see her potential, but are open to reasonable offers.
